Causes Of Stress In Workplace

Breathe away that stress

Breathing is something that no living organism can live without. Be it plants, animals or even human beings, everyone needs to breathe. And this quintessential breathing can help you get rid of stress as well.

It is a known fact that insufficient supply of oxygen to the brain can cause stress and anxiety. Thus, to overcome stress it is important that oxygen reaches the brain. For this, you need to increase the blood flow towards the brain. You can make use of some deep breathing techniques for this purpose.

Deep breathing is known to be a great stress relieving technique. Take a long deep breath. Now hold this breath for a few minutes. And then exhale slowly. Some variations can be made to these deep-breathing techniques.

If you want to practice deep breathing, begin by choosing a quite place for your self. Look for a place that is peaceful and quiet. No one should disturb you. There is no point in practicing breathing exercises in crowded and noisy places as it will only alleviate your stress.

Whilst practicing deep breathing, make sure that you loosen all your accessories. You should lose your belt, watch, any neckpiece, bracelet and the like. This will help you feel more relaxed when you deep breathe. Also try to wear breathable and more comfortable clothing while practicing deep breathing.

Having scented candles around as you practice breathing exercises is also a good idea. This will enable you to practice breathing for longer. You can opt for natural candles that come in various aromas such as coffee, lavender, rose, jasmine and several others.

Sitting in a comfortable position while you practice deep breathing is a must. If you are not seated in a comfortable position you will not be able to relax. Sit with your legs crossed on a floor or a bed.

Repeat deep breathing exercise as many times as you can. It will help you feel better and also enable you to overcome stress. So anytime you feel stressed, all you need is few breaths.
