For two laptops, will I need the single one or the family version? A:To have a legally installed version of Mac OS X on the two systems depends on what the scenario is. You can only use the Family Pack version if you are installing in more than one computer in the same household. It is not intended for business. For business, or for systems not in the same household you have to purchase one DVD per system. Truthfully, nobody might notice if you use one DVD for both systems, but there may be licensing issues if something goes wrong. Here's some information from Apple's website:
