Q:When apple came to Verizon to release the iphone as many of you know they denied them, probably because Apple wanted complete control, they wanted to be in charge of customer care and anything to do with the phone. Verizon essentially would just provide the phone and the plans. Now that the iPhone has been a big hit, do you think Verizon make a mistake or made a good decision? A: The Apple iPhone is undoubtedly a great device, but it also represents a very small proportion of all cellular phone service users in the market. iPhones make up less than 5% of the nation's mobile phone market, and is unlikely to change that in the next 2-3 years. It, however, is a great buzz item and generates a lot of interest for AT&T. While Verizon doesn't have the cache of being Apple's sole partner, its decision to deny Apple's device isn't a showstopper for the company's bottom line, as long as it keeps developing its network and enhancing its 3G data capabilities. well, i really dont know about verizon denying the iphone, but iphone is a piece of crap! no doubt it got nice looks but i personally care about the features. i bought the iphone and switched to new blackberry 8300 a.k.a curve. its a lot better than iphone. its the best equipment out there as for now. in iphone u cant forward ur emails or texts, and u cant send txts to more than a person per time. u have to type it like 3 times to send it to 3 different people. and on top of that its network reception is limited to certain radius from the network tower. for those who r looking forward to buy an iphone, i advice u to wait for the second addition to come out as it is gonna be a lot better feature wise and looks wise too.
