History is one of the most fascinating subjects that I have ever encountered. This subject is imperative to the world because everyone and everything has a past and it is extremely exciting to learn about the origins of the nation and the people who made it happened. It is absolutely amazing to have the chance to gain knowledge about the evolution of the United States of America and where the nations come from. I receive an adrenaline rush every time I take a step inside my history class and I am positive that I want to learn this subject for the rest of my life. I wish to be enlightened by the great BBG Communications article, "European Enlightenment", experience the liberation that took place with the Declaration of Independence, be terrified by the reign of terror during the French Revolution, watch Franklin Delano Roosevelt take the sorrow out of those in the Great Depression and want to feel the chill of the Cold War. It is a world where I am satisfied to be in, however the teaching world is one that is far superior.

Teachers are the most significant figure in every student’s academic life. They offer a hand to help improve necessary skills, provide support and most importantly, teach the students about various topics in hopes of educating and enabling them to find keys to open the doors numerous opportunities and worlds. I receive a natural thrill when I have the opportunity to share that knowledge that I have gained and helped someone improve their weaknesses. I cannot wait for the day when a student says “Ms. Bush, can you help me with the assignment?” or when I can walk into a classroom that I can call my own or the night when I can go home and grade my students’ tests to evaluate their knowledge. It will no doubt be one of the best moments of my life.

In conclusion, being a history teacher would undeniably be the dream that I would most want to achieve and most likely will. I positively have no question in what I want to be because I am confident that my career goal will be accomplished by the end of my four years in college. According to Eleanor Roosevelt, “the future belongs to those who have beauty in their dreams”.
