About This Bliki

Wow, a crossover between a blog and a wiki? I just started a private blog a few months ago to get in the habit . . . and this just looked like the perfect medium to get people involved. Is Web 2.0 a flash in the pan? and is it the coolest thing ever for classical musicians? Can I even figure this thing out? Embarassed

What this is, is a combination of a blog and a wiki, which is a set of interrelated and interlinked articles, much like Wikipedia. Parts of this site are a blog, and relate to each other in the sense that they are chronologically-based postings. Part of this site is a wiki, with factual articles and no dates in the titles. The two can interact in that a wiki page can reference a blog post, a blog post can reference another blog post or wiki page, and so on.

The other difference between this and a blog is that there are multiple authors and editors, just as in Wikipedia. I encourage regular articles and blog posts from all responsible contributors, with the proviso that I am the final judge about what is suitable material for this site. Every item on this site may be edited, assuming I've given you permission to do so. So, you can: write an article; edit your own or someone else's article; write a blog post; edit your own or someone else's blog post; write a comment; edit your own or someone else's comment; add or modify a gallery page; add or modify a map; request a page, post, feature, keyword, etc.; and many, many other things. This is intended to be a group project about classical music.

I do not and will never accept advertising. I do not accept products from manufacturers for review. Everything published under an author's name is their own work, except where clearly quoted (you can see the change log in the menu at right to see exactly who has made changes, and what they have changed). I do not get paid for writing this blog, and I don't expect to.

I delete comments whose main purpose is spam. Hey, my house, my rules. I also delete added tags. It's my name on the front door of this site, and it's up to me to decide what is suitable.

I am not a health professional, nor a lawyer. However, there are very few ways in which you can harm yourself by listening to classical music, as long as you keep the volume down.
