I've started figuring out how to edit the template. Don't be surprised to see a lot of design changes in the immediate future.
- Add neuroanatomy information. Started.
- Now accepting listings in the following categories: classical-music related events (not necessarily concerts but must be open to the public); instruments for sale (including estate/consignment sales); sheet music collections, CD or record collections for sale; classical-music-related organizations, either nonprofit or for profit. All at no charge or obligation.
Fix the blog navigation And you'll notice that in both the top and the right-hand navigation sidebar, and in the top box, is a link for Read the Blog!
I've continued the CSS redesign and some of the colours are a bit off but I'm fixing them, slowly but surely. To-do is to fix the link colours and the way the links behave. Done!
Break up the FAQ pages and tried to make navigation between them easy. Done!
Add subscribe links to sidebar by popular poll. Done!
Next is to reorganize keywords into drop-down menus as it is just getting too unwieldy. Done!
Redo citations so that anchor text reflects authors' names. Done. I wanted them to be able to search for their own names and find my entries. Also, their moms should know that someone is reading their work!
Add RSS feeds Done!
- Apply and refine CSS (and also add to Amazon store)
- Change the "Pages" link so it browses the pages not in the blog. Or at least add a link to browse the non-blog pages only.
- Change "Talk" to "Comment" if possible
Add map to studio Done!
Finish captioning composers Done except for Puccini, whose name is too long!
- Figure out how to add "Friends" (Control panel option)
-
Add legal and medical disclaimers Done!
-
Write guest contributor policy Done!
- The Unlikely Entrepreneur was named one of the top 100 music education blogs, after six months of existence.
- Call for editors: If you know of a current events arts, music or dance festival, performance, recital, competition, etc. I encourage you to edit the "Current Events" page to add it or leave it as a comment for I or my site editor to do it. Once I begin receiving contributions I will break it up into regional districts.
My current project is working on a keyword map, using xmind mind mapping software and integrating it into the wiki.
