Could someone please tell me how can I enable email verification during sign-up?

This is currently not a feature available in WikyBlog and would have to be developed. How urgently do you need it? --Josh
Not a problem then, I don't need it that urgently. How further down is this feature in your list of priorities? --Sachin
It won't make it in Version 1.6, which I'm hoping to get out on Wed. But it could easily make it in the first update to 1.6. Here's what I'm picturing:
Step 1 User Registers (registration form indicates email is required)
Step 2 Upon success, the user is told an email has been sent to them with a confirmation code.
Step 3 User clicks on link in email to confirm the validity of their email and then their account will be activated.
How does that look?
That's great! I started working on my wiki very recently, it will be atleast a month before I go live. I hope email verification will be in by then.

One more question please - "Control Panel --> Default Page Options --> Pages --> Editing" wouldn't let me set default editing options for my future pages. It only let me set options for the page that is opened for editing. Am I again expecting a bit too much? Thanks --Sachin

No, you're not expecting too much. There was a bug with the default options in previous beta releases but it has been fixed for the release scheduled tomorrow. Default options will affect all files of the selected type that haven't had their own options set. --Josh
Thanks Josh, I have installed version 1.6 and it works fine for "Default Page Options".

Is it possible at all to change the page name? The only way I could think of is to copy the content on a new page and delete the earlier.

Absolutely, among the links at the top of the page, you should see an "Options" link (only when logged in to your account). Among the options available are "Rename" and "Copy". --Josh
Of course, been to Options link many times, deleted many files. Still managed to miss rename/copy buttons. Thanks

Hi Josh, Is it possible to change the admin user name? and also is it possible to change the name of the first page/landing page. If I rename it I am still landing on to the earlier page but redirected to the new one.

Sorry, It's not possible to change the admin user name after installation (during installation yes). You can change the way the landing page name displays by changing the "Home Title" field in your preferences. It will only change the display of the landing page and not the actual title. Similar to the admin user name, you can customize this during installation. --Josh
